HIGHER GROUND MINISTRY MAP

The H.G. Ministry is the Higher Ground Children's Ministry of Highline Christian Church, for children birth through sixth grade.  The H.G. Ministry operates under the H.G. purpose statement and is a part of the "U" ministries under the Highline Christian Church "TOUCH" purpose statement.

Collectively, the Summit Seekers are kids in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades.  The term Summit Seekers is also used for the Thursday night fourth - sixth grade program that meets from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Summit Seekers is designed to grow the fourth, fifth and sixth grade kids from the base to the peak of their childhood relationships with Jesus.  We spend time each week in worship, prayer, lessons and games.  The kids are challenged to live what they say they believe by spending time daily in prayer and quiet time devotions, and serving Jesus in some way.

Collectively the Trail Trekkers are kids in the first, second and third grades.  The term Trail Trekkers is also used for the first - third grade program that meets from 6:00 - 7:30 pm every Thursday night.  Trail Trekkers is designed to help get the first, second and third grade kids started on their spiritual trek with Jesus.  Each Thursday the Trail Trekkers meet for a time of worship, prayer, lessons, crafts and games.

Commonly referred to as children's church, Base Camp is for kids in first - sixth grade, and is held on Sunday morning during the 2nd Service (10:40 am).  The lessons taught at Base Camp are based off the sermon each week, usually focusing on the same passage and one main point.  This is a cooperative attempt to create common ground and discussion for continued learning in the home.

During our 1st Service every Sunday (9:00 am), we offer Sunday School classes for kids in our Nursery through sixth grade.  These classes are divided by age and grade to allow the kids to learn in the best environment possible.  We also offer Sunday School classes for adults during the 9:00 service.  Please contact the church office for more information.
